Don’t get spooked by Saturn’s mysterious “ghostly spokes.” This nearly two-hour timelapse shows strange, shadowy features appearing and disappearing across Saturn’s B ring as the planet rotates.
Observed by Voyager 2, Cassini, and Hubble, these spokes appear to change with Saturn’s seasons. Scientists believe they may consist of electrically charged dust and ice temporarily lifted above the rings by electromagnetic forces. While their exact cause remains uncertain, sunlight, meteoroid impacts, and interactions with the solar wind may all play a role.
Building From Example
We’re using the Athena V2 Iteration V18 from Sketchfab as the starting point for exploring the design and control of an actively guided rocket. This detailed model helps us understand the fundamentals of rocket framing, control systems, and coding needed for stabilization and flight.
