My Work
Hi, I’m Matthew Zaino, a student engineer and founder of Sigma Unlimited, where I combine aerospace innovation with hands-on STEM education. My work focuses on designing and prototyping systems like 3D-printed satellites, rocket components, and autonomous platforms, while also creating educational programs that make complex engineering concepts accessible to students.

I’ve led projects ranging from propulsion testing and sensor integration to Arduino-based satellite-tracking systems, and I actively collaborate with organizations such as IEEE and the Florida Engineering Society to connect students with real-world engineering experiences.

Ultimately, my goal is to build scalable technologies and educational platforms that not only push aerospace innovation forward but also inspire the next generation of engineers.

01
The Space Above Us Program
The Space Above Us program is an educational initiative by Sigma Unlimited that introduces students to aerospace engineering, satellite technology, and space sustainability through hands-on projects and real-world applications. It aims to inspire the next generation of engineers by making space concepts accessible, engaging, and rooted in innovation.
02
Vortex Labs
Vortex Labs is Sigma Unlimited’s aerodynamics and engineering research initiative focused on fluid dynamics, propulsion, and wind tunnel experimentation. It provides a hands-on environment where students can test, analyze, and optimize real-world engineering systems while gaining practical experience.
